Tracy Hoskins, 1st Grade
Published August, 2015
Hello, my name is Tracy Hoskins, and I am the first grade teacher. I have been at Woodlawn School since 2010. I have enjoyed everything about Woodlawn and I am proud to be part of such a positive learning environment! The learning that goes on inside as well as outside of the classroom is unique in many ways. Students are encouraged to think deeply and be creative. They are challenged to find the best in themselves and work cooperatively with others. Teachers, students, and parents are partners in education.
When I'm not teaching, you'll find me enjoying a bike ride with my favorite guy in the world, Tanner, my little dog. I carry him in a doggie backpack while I ride. We are quite a sight! I love to go to movies with my friends and I'm obsessed with the television show Cops. My favorite place in the world is WV. I grew up in the northern part of the state and love to return home when I can. The top thing on my bucket list is a visit to Belgium, the Land of Chocolate. I have lots of patience and love which is a good thing to have when you teach 1st graders, and the thing people probably don't know about me is that I take a nap every day after school. Being a teacher is a gift. Being able to share my gift at Woodlawn School makes me grateful each day.
