Many companies sponsor matching gift programs that enhance their employees’ charitable contributions. When your gifts are matched, you can double and sometimes even triple the impact your donation makes on our school. For more information, please contact your employer’s human resources department.
Another way to support the School is through gifts of tangible personal property. If a gift is related to the ‘charitable purpose’ of the School, the donor may be eligible for a tax deduction. Please contact the Advancement office, if you would like to discuss an in-kind gift.
A gift of real estate or other appreciated property, or a gift of your retirement assets, such as a gift from your IRA, 401k, 403b, pension or other tax deferred plan, is an excellent way to make a gift to Woodlawn School. Make a gift and help further our mission.
A “permanent” fund in which the principal is invested and the earnings are spent. A strong endowment ensures our long-term strength and stability because the funds help to support dynamic programming, a diverse community of learners, and the operating costs that come with innovative facilities. Endowment relieves pressure on tuition and annual giving which ensures long-term affordability and innovation.
Capital gifts, generally to the physical plant or programs, differ from annual support, which provides funding for the operating budget and thus is expended each year. Instead, capital gifts allow the School the opportunity to build, renovate and restore facilities and grow programs.
Bequest and other planned gifts have a lasting impact on Woodlawn School and serve as a continuing source of support. The correct plan balances what you wish to accomplish for yourself, your family and your charitable interests in your overall estate and financial plans.
